Discipline 1: Carpenter's Trestles
Building 2 carpenter's trestles to a free design in 1 hour — judged on design, craftsmanship, weight, and sturdiness.
Discipline 2: Beam Joinery
Joining two beams with a single joint spanning 5 meters in 1 hour — the connection is load-tested to failure to measure maximum strength.
Lecture Panel — Day 1
Specialized presentations from partners and exhibitors in the sustainable construction, innovative materials, and traditional techniques sectors.
Heritage Zone — Family Activities
Masterclasses — Live Demonstrations
Proven masters pass on authentic knowledge live — specific wood processing techniques and methods, accessible to every visitor.
Day 2
Sunday 13 September
Start of Day Two
Official start of day two of Kota Bilo +26. Review of Day 1 results and introduction to the team final "Structural Rise".
Discipline 3: Gable Roof with Collar Ties
Building a gable roof with collar ties and no king or queen posts — 8 rafters and a 33° pitch in 2 hours, judged on design, detail, and joint quality.
Lecture Panel — Day 2
Second panel of specialized lectures, company presentations, and masterclasses — new topics, new speakers, a fresh perspective on sustainable architecture.
Heritage Zone — Day 2
B2B / B2C Business Meetings
Structured meetings between business representatives, masters, investors, and visitors. Exhibition area, product testing, and direct contacts all in one place.
Award Ceremony
Official awards ceremony for the winners and all participants of the National Timber Carpentry Championship "Kota Bilo +26".
